M4A to MP3

M4A to MP3 is a free audio converting software to convert M4A/AAC audio (*.m4a;*.aac;*.m4r;*.m4b;*.mp4;*.3gp) to normal MP3 audio files (*.mp3). It supports batch conversion and drag-drop feature, you can easily convert a lot of audio files in one time. This software is freeware, lightweight and easy to use.

The default output MP3 bitrate is 128kbs, option values include 32, 40, 48, 56, 64, 80, 96, 112, 128, 160, 192, 224, 256 or 320kbps. Software can create MP3 audio with three different MP3 encodings: constant bitrate (CBR), variable bitrate (VBR) and average bitrate (ABR). In addition, not only *.m4a, this converter can also open and convert other AAC audio files (*.aac;*.m4r;*.m4b), or AAC audio data in some video files, such as AAC audio data in MP4/3GP video files (*.mp4;*.3gp).

M4A is the extension of MPEG-4 audio files. AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) is a lossy audio compression format, its extension can be *.m4a, *.aac, *.m4r, *.m4b, *.mp4 or *.3gp. M4R is the extension of Apple iTunes Ringtone files. M4B is the extension of MPEG-4 Audio Book files. Please note, for MP4/3GP video, your video files must use AAC audio codec, then you can use this software to extract its audio content, save audio data as standalone MP3 files.
